In 1987, Schneider Electric established a joint venture factory in Tianjin, Meilan Rilan, bringing the circuit breaker skills to China, replacing traditional fuses, has greatly improved the safety of users in China, and made outstanding contributions to the establishment of circuit breaker standards.
In the early 1990s, Schneider Electric's brand, Qisheng, took the lead in bringing the switch panel into China, completing the era of using the light switch in China.
In the 1990s, with the further opening of China’s shopping malls, Schneider Electric’s integration into China was also accelerating. With advanced skills and products, Schneider Electric has fully participated in the construction of many power and infrastructure in China, including the supply of equipment and services for serious projects such as the Three Gorges Project, the West-East Gas Pipeline, the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, and the Ling Ao Nuclear Power Plant.
